About us

Neighbors caring for neighbors.

A family practice rooted in the Bainbridge community, where every visit is personal and unhurried.

A letter to our patients

New caretakers, the same personal care.

We are pleased to introduce ourselves as the new caretakers of your dental office. My name is Woody Utrapiromsuk, and my partner and better half is Jiae Kwon. Like many of you, we are proud to call Bainbridge Island our home. We have both been practicing dentistry in Washington State since 2011 and 2015, respectively. Together, we bring more than 30 years of combined experience through our education, private practice, and community-based dentistry. In addition to practicing dentistry, we are the parents of two teenaged children who are growing up benefiting from this Island community.

We understand that a change in ownership can bring questions and uncertainty. We would like to reassure you that our primary goal is to preserve the high quality of care and personal attention you have come to expect from this practice. We are happy to announce that the team you already know and trust has agreed to continue working with us. Jiae and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Tatiana, Heidi, Simone, Charlotte, and Michelle for their hospitality and kindness.

With warm regards,

Jiae Kwon

Our team

Island neighbors since 2017, with more than 30 years of combined experience in private practice and community-based dentistry.

Dr. Jiae Kwon

Dentist

Dr. Kwon believes in conservative, evidence-based dentistry and approaches patient care with kindness and compassion. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where volunteering at the Berkeley Free Clinic’s Dental Division inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCSF School of Dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kwon has a lifelong passion for music. Attending concerts and playing musical instruments bring her a sense of peace, healing, and joy. She also enjoys running, taking walks with her pup, Latte, and playing tennis with her children.

Dr. Woody Utrapiromsuk

Dentist

In 2010, a wise and considerate person speaking to millions of people said, “Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen.” As a humanist, Woody Utrapiromsuk truly believes in this basic principle. As a dentist, he is thankful and honored to be one of many clinicians who get to call Bainbridge Island home.

The faces you already know

The same trusted team, still here for you.

Tatiana

Office Manager

As the Office Manager, Tatiana brings a diverse and rich background centered entirely on her passion for connecting with and caring for people.

Tatiana has called our community home for more than 26 years. Some of you may know her from the many years she managed her family’s local Italian restaurant. Her deep roots in the area inspire her to build lasting, trusting relationships with our patients. She is committed to making every visit warm, welcoming, and seamless, from your first phone call to the moment you leave our office.

When she isn’t keeping the office running smoothly, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, experimenting in the kitchen, trying to keep her plant collection alive and deep-diving into whatever new, creative hobby-of-the-month she is inspired by!

Heidi

Registered Dental Hygienist

Heidi was born and raised in Washington State. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Portland State University in 2000 and an Associate in Arts and Science in Dental Hygiene from Clark College in 2002. She moved to Kitsap County in 2002, where she began her dental hygiene career. She and her husband moved to Bainbridge Island in 2017. She is committed to being a positive contributor to her community and feels the most special aspect of practicing on a small island is when your patients become your friends.

Outside of the office, you will find her gardening, spending time with friends, and you may even catch her playing the bass in her band, Honey Moon!

Charlotte

Registered Dental Hygienist

Charlotte grew up in Florida and moved to Louisiana to attend her undergraduate program at Louisiana State University. There she attained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and moved to New York where she taught in early childhood education. She most recently moved from Nashville, Tennessee, where she went to hygiene school at Tennessee State University, and has a passion for patient education as it relates to dental hygiene. She has been with our practice since her move to Washington in May 2025.

Outside of her passion for providing excellent care for her beloved patients, she enjoys gardening, travelling, dancing, and cooking.

Simone

Registered Dental Assistant

Originally from Germany, Simone worked in the medical field for many years before becoming a Registered Dental Assistant in 2010. She worked in endodontics before joining the Bainbridge office in 2022. She appreciates her close-knit team. She enjoys meeting new people and helping patients feel comfortable.

Simone and her family have lived on Bainbridge since 2002 and love island life. Her interests include encaustic painting, participating in the Winslow Artwalk, and interior design. She also enjoys dogs, long walks, paddleboarding, time with family and friends, listening to records, and live music, especially performances by her friends.

Michelle

Registered Dental Assistant

Michelle grew up in the Central Valley in California surrounded by almond orchards and a close-knit community. She has lived in the Seattle area most of her adult life. She now loves the small community feeling of living in Kingston with her husband and two snuggly dogs.

She got her dental assistant training at Seattle Vocational Institute in 2012. Her favorite part of her job is meeting patients from all different backgrounds, and listening to their stories. She enjoys continually learning better techniques in dentistry so that patients have a better experience.

She went to the University of Washington to get her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies in 2017. She enjoys learning about other cultures and learning languages. In her free time, she enjoys any kind of craft projects, gardening, and exploring local nature and hiking trails.
